Yi-Chia Huang, M.D., is curretly an attending physician at National Taiwan University Hospital Hsin-Chu Biomedical Park Branch. She is also a adjunct lecturer at National Taiwan University College of Medicine, Taipei, Taiwan.
Dr. Huang received her medical degree from the Kaohsiung Medical University in 2011. She is particularly interested in clinical medicine and gained the Diploma for Tropical Medicine and Hygiene at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in 2013. This was followed by a residency in the Department of Internal Medicine and fellowship in Division of Infectious Diseases at the National Taiwan University Hospital during 2014-2018.
Her research interests include clinical management of HIV infection, viral hepatitis coinfections, and other tropical diseases. In collaboration with colleagues, she has performed retrospective studies and epidemiological surveys regarding HBV vaccine, rapid ART initiation, and schistosomiasis among pregnant women in both developing and developed countries. She has designed and conducted several interventional clinical trials, including one multi-center randomized controlled trial on HBV vaccination.
