Dr. Ogimi earned his M.D. at the University of Toyama in Japan. After working as a pediatrician in Japan, he came to the US for further training. He completed his second Pediatric Residency in NY prior to beginning the Pediatric Infectious Disease Fellowship at the University of Washington. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Pediatric Infectious Disease Division at the University of Washington/Seattle Children`s Hospital as well as Research Associate at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. His research focuses on clinical studies to develop and improve therapeutic and preventive strategies for respiratory viral infections in immunocompromised hosts of all ages.
