Zachary Morehouse is a current third year medical student at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, currently completing his clinical training at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor Hospital System, additionally, he is a research consultant for Omni International Inc, a biotech and laboratory equipment company based in Kennesaw, GA. Prior to entering medical school, Zachary recieved his MS from Greorgia State University where he trained in a molecular virology lab primarily focused on antiviral therapy development. During his experience working in basic and translational sciences he was inspired to further his eductation to push for a career that would allow him to bring the benchtop closer to the bedside to solve problems facing people in both the laboratory and through the ability to practice medicine. The majority of his research is currently focused on infectious diseases cuased by viruses and establishing efficient and cost effective treatments and testing methods to address them.
