Valerie Seah graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy from the National University of Singapore in 2016 and has been a registered clinical pharmacist at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore since 2009. She obtained her Board Certified Pediatric Pharmacy Specialist certification from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in 2017. As part of the hospital’s Antimicrobial Stewardship Programme and the pediatric infectious diseases team, Valerie develops hospital-wide guidelines for appropriate antibiotic use. In addition, she provides recommendations to optimize and individualize antimicrobial therapy for patients. Valerie’s primary research interest is in the area of antimicrobial stewardship in specialized populations, as well as pediatric infectious diseases.
