Shibani S. Mukerji is the Associate Director of the Neurology Infectious Diseases Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Mukerji received her M.D./Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University in 2010 and trained in neurology and neurology-infectious diseases in the MGH/Brigham and Women's Hospital residency and fellowship programs. She leads clinical studies focused on improving neurological outcomes, enhancing quality treatment, and reducing costs for people with HIV. She is the PI for the SOOTHE study, a randomized Phase II trial to determine the role of pregnenolone on neural function and inflammation in people living with HIV and depression. Dr. Mukerji is supported by the National Institutes of Mental Health, the Rappaport Scholarship, and the James S. McDonnell Foundation.
