Disclosure: I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
I’m an Assistant Professor at The University of California San Francisco (UCSF) School of Pharmacy and an Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist at UCSF Medical Center. I am a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and Board Certified Infectious Diseases Pharmacist (BCIDP) with two years of residency experience and three years of post-graduate pharmacist experience. I work with the UCSF Inpatient Infectious Diseases Consult Team and Antimicrobial Stewardship Program to optimize patient therapies via prospective audit and feedback, prior-authorizations of restricted medications, and development of institutional antimicrobial use protocols. As an instructor, I provide ~25 lectures annually within the School of Pharmacy and precept approximately 10 APPE students, 8 PGY1 residents, and 1-2 PGY2 residents on the Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Stewardship Services annually. My interests in infectious diseases and interprofessional education have led to teaching opportunities in the UCSF Schools of Medicine, Nursing, and Dentistry on a variety of infectious diseases topics. My research interests include innovative teaching and learning methodologies, clinical applications of infectious diseases therapeutics, and environmental sustainability in pharmacy practice.
