Dr. J. Alex Viehman is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is the Director of Quality Improvement and medical affairs for the Antibiotic Management Program at UPMC Presbyterian. He works primarily in general infectious diseases, endovascular infections, and antimicorbial stewardship. His interests are clinical infectious diseases, education, antimicrobial stewardship and antibiotic resistance. He completed medical school at Temple University and residency at UCLA Medical Center, where he was also chief reisdent. He completed his ID fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh in 2015.
