Dr. Susan Novak-Weekley is the Vice President of Medical Affairs at Qvella. Susan completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical and Public Health Microbiology at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center and Wadsworth Veterans Administration Medical Center, followed by a year in the SmithKline Beecham Clinical Microbiology Laboratory. Subsequently she joined Kaiser Permanente Regional Reference Laboratories in North Hollywood, California, spending 13 years as the Assistant Director and then Director of the Clinical Microbiology, Serology and Molecular Infectious Diseases Department. Susan has been active in multiple elected volunteer positions in several organizations including the American Society for Microbiology, the Pan American Society for Clinical Virology and the Association for Molecular Pathology. She has presented at numerous scientific meetings and an author or co-author of over 30 publications, book chapters and abstracts within the field of Microbiology. Susan obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology at Colorado State University in Microbiology and her Ph.D. in Microbiology at the University of Arizona in Microbiology.
