Dr. Beer is an epidemiologist at CDC, with Epidemic Intelligence Service training and experience in field epidemiology, data science for public health and surveillance system design. She is currently the invasive mold infection subject matter expert with CDC's Mycotic Diseases Branch, and has special interests in invasive mold infections, hospital epidemiology and HVAC systems, antifungal resistance prevention, and advanced analytics for public health surveillance. Dr. Beer holds an MS in epidemiology and PhD in systems biology from the University of Washington, Seattle.
