Anna Wanahita, M.D., is a Stroke and Neurointerventional Neurologist with 13 years of experience and is the President of Regional Brain Institute, a physician-owned, multidisciplinary practice group that provides intensely patient-focused care in affiliation with Native American, rural, and metropolitan healthcare organizations across Oklahoma and Nebraska. Through RBI, Dr. Wanahita and her nationally-recognized team provide on-site and telehealth specialty services with the goals of keeping patients as close to home as feasible and enhancing the quality of outcomes and consistency of patient satisfaction. Dr. Wanahita serves as the medical director of the stroke programs of Cherokee Health Partners, the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, McAlester Regional Health Center, and SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Oklahoma City. Dr. Wanahita also conducts research related to stroke care, and she provides consulting services for stroke programs desiring to achieve certification by state governments and national accreditation organizations (e.g., DNV GL and Joint Commission). Dr. Wanahita trained at the University of Louisville.
