Alison M Beieler is a Physician Assistant (PA-C) at Harborview Medical Center where she spearheads the Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) program. In addition, her roles include outpatient ID consultation, management of patients with Orthopedic related infections, and infections in vulnerable populations, including people who inject drugs (PWID) and those experiencing homelessness. She has worked in ID for 15 years, and is actively involved in collaborative clinical research and has published literature related to medical respite, PWID, and OPAT. She serves on the Harborview Infectious Disease Quality Improvement Committee. She is a member of the Washington Academy of Physician Assistants (WAPA) and the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA). Originally from Nebraska, she now lives in Bellevue, WA with her husband and two boys.
