Dr. Parraga is a 3rd year fellow in his Transplant Infectious Diseases fellowship at Henry Ford hospital in Detroit, MI. He received his medical degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia university in Peru in 2011. He has completed his Internal Medicine residency training in 2018 and Infectious Diseases fellowship in 2020 at Henry Ford hospital where he also served as chief fellow from 2019-2020. He has been involved in research projects regarding tuberculosis, HTLV-1, solid organ transplant recipients (SOTr) vaccination uptake and COVID-19 disease in SOTr. His current projects include SOTr and antibiotic stewardship in this population of patients, utilization of molecular tests for detecting tuberculosis and airborne ingection isolation, and outcomes in bronchoscopy follow up procedures in lung transplant recipients.
