Dr. Sarah Sansom DO is an assistant professor of infectious diseases at Rush University Medical Center. She completed her fellowship in infectious diseases at the combined Rush and Cook County Hospital fellowship program, followed by an optional third year of research training in infectious disease epidemiology and antimicrobial resistance as part of the CDC Chicago Prevention and Intervention Epicenter. Dr. Sansom's reasearch interests focus on use of microbiome science and genomic epidemiology to control and prevent multidrug-resistant organism infections in hospitalized patients.
