Dr. Michael Angarone is an Associate Professor and the Program Director of the Infectious Disease fellowship program at the Feinberg School of Medicine. His area of specialty is in the treatment, outcomes, and epidemiology of infections in immune suppressed individuals, with a specific focus on transplant recipients and hematologic malignancies. He has research collaborations at multiple transplant institutions throughout the United States. Dr. Angarone is a panel member for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network’s guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Cancer-related Infections. He has an interest in medical education and is the curent Program Director of the Infectoous Disease fellowshop and the former Director of the senior medical student sub-internship and the Introduction to Clinical Practice course at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Angarone received his DO degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic medicine and completed his infectious disease training at Northwestern University
