Patrick Dawson, PhD, MPH, is an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), based in the Bacterial Special Pathogens Branch. Currently, he works on epidemiology and surveillance for high-consequence bacterial pathogens including Bacillus anthracis, Brucella spp., Burkholderia pseudomallei, and Leptospira spp. Prior to joining CDC, he worked at EcoHealth Alliance on the USAID PREDICT-2 project, focusing on MERS Coronavirus in Egypt and Jordan.
