Dr. Rebecca Chancey is a medical epidemiologist at CDC in the Division of Parasitic Diseases and Malaria, Parasitic Diseases Branch. Her current reponsibilities include oversight of the Parasitic Diseases Drug Service, epidemiologic activities related to multiple parasitic diseases, and providing expert consultation to clinicians and state and federal agencies on issues related to parasitic diseases. She received her medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine and completed Pediatrics residency at Duke. She completed the Gorgas Course in Clinical Tropical Medicine in Lima, Peru and the Epidemic Intelligence Service fellowship at CDC in the Parasitic Diseases Branch. She has worked clinically as a pediatrician and educator in Kigali, Rwanda through the Human Resources for Health program and at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas. She currently attends as an inpatient hospitalist PRN at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
