My name is Alexander M. Newman, MD, (Anders for short), and I am current third year fellow in the Pediatric Infectious Diseases division at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. My interests within ID include care of the immunocomprimsed patient, specifically pediatric stem cell transplant recipients, as well as HIV-related care, more specifically focused on gender and sexual minority adolescents. My research interests include clinical trials work, with a focus on novel therapeutics to manipulate the enteric microbiome in stem cell transplant recipients.
