Josh Herigon MD, MPH, MBI is currently in his final year of combined fellowships in pediatric infectious diseases and clinical informatics at Boston Children’s Hospital. As part of his informatics training, he recently completed a Master’s degree in Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School. He completed his general pediatrics residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City after graduating from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Prior to entering medical school, Josh attained a Master’s degree in Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health and spent 3 years conducting health services research.
Josh’s primary research interests focus on combining antimicrobial stewardship and technology. He is interested in leveraging newer analytical techniques such as machine learning and natural language processing to improve the precision of antimicrobial stewardship-related analyses and subsequent interventions. Josh also has interests in patient safety, health care quality improvement, and working to eliminate domestic and international health disparities.
