Amiya Ahmed is a fourth year medical student studying at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He completed a fellowship year as a Doris Duke Internatinal Clinical Research Fellow in Tugela Ferry, South Africa under the mentorship of Sheela Shenoi, MD, MPH. His reserach focused on predictors of hospital-based mortality in resource-limited settings and TB prevention among persons living with HIV.
