Disclosure: I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
I am currently a PGY-2 internal medicine resident physician at Toronto General Hospital and Sinai Health System, affiliated with the University of Toronto. I completed the MD-PhD program supported by the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship at the University of Toronto's Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation with a focus on the prevention and control of carbapenemase-producing Enterobacterales (CPE) in Ontario, Canada. My research investigates CPE transmission in healthcare facilities and communities in Ontario using epidemiological and genomic methods. I hold a grant from the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases to investigate CPE among residents of long-term care facilities in Ontario.
