Dr. Nagel is currently the pharmacy lead for the Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Stewardship program at the University of Michigan Hospital and Health Systems. He graduated from Purdue University and completed Infectious Diseases residency at Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.
Dr. Nagel directs the infectious diseases residency, and holds a faculty appointment as Adjunct Clinical Assistant Instructor. He lectures i the School of Public Health, Nursing School and College of Pharmacy, and has authored over 50 peer-reviewed antimicrobial stewardship publications. Additionally, he’s helped promote antimicrobial stewardship through leadership positions among several national organizations including Infectious Diseases Society of America, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists, and American College of Clinical Pharmacy.
