My name is Harmanpreet Kaur, MD, and I am currently completing my second year of Infectious disease fellowship at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Houston, TX, USA. I am originally from Valley Stream, New York, however have traveled many continents since the age of 5 years. I completed my early education from the ages of 5 to 13 years in a boarding school in India, and returned to New York to be with my family for continuing my education through Junior High School and High School. I ventured into Europe for my Medical education at the University of Lubin, Poland immediately after High School and returned back to New York for my clinical rotations. My journey did not end there, Internal medicine residency took me to at FAU, Florida, which led me to the McGovern Medical School to complete my medical education with an Infectious disease fellowship. My zeal for Infectious disease started well before my residency, but my 3 years into residency and continued education during my fellowship has only strengthened my determination to pursue a career in this field. I have learned several pearls from my mentor and Faculty at UT Health, and aspire to continue to learn from everyone around me, including my peers, my patients and their family members. I am excited to meet several like minded individuals and learn from the brilliant minds immersed in the world of Infectious diseases.
