Ya-Ting Chen, PhD, MPH is an Executive Director at Merck Center for Observational and Real-World Evidence (CORE). She leads a team to develop, optimize and execute value evidence strategy and activities for the pediatric and pipeline vaccines and emerging businesses. Prior to CORE, Ya-Ting was Executive Director, Global Market Access at Merck leading a team of market access strategy leaders to support payer strategy and activities for pipeline and inline products in the areas of cardiovascular, diabetes/obesity, general medicine, vaccines, biosimilars, and diversify brands. Prior to Global Market Access, Ya-Ting was a director/senior director in Global Health Outcomes and US Outcomes Research organizations supporting a wide range of therapeutic areas, including osteoporosis, neuroscience, oncology, cardiovascular, and diabetes/obesity. Prior to joining Merck, Ya-Ting was a research faculty at Yale University School of Medicine where she taught and conducted epidemiology and outcomes research in cancer, internal medicine, and quality of care. Ya-Ting has authored over 70 publications in peer-reviewed journals and presented over 100 abstracts in scientific conferences. Ya-Ting received a BS in Health Policy and Administration from the National Taiwan University, an MPH and a PhD in Epidemiology from the Yale University School of Public Health.
