Danielle A. Rankin, MPH, CIC is a PhD in Epidemiology student at Vanderbilt University working on pediatric acute respiratory infections under Dr. Natasha Halasa. Prior to pursuing her PhD, Danielle was an Epidemiologist at the Florida Department of Health Healthcare-Associated Infections Program, where she conducted infection control assessments across varying levels of healthcare facilities in response to clusters and outbreaks of novel multidrug-resistant organisms. Danielle is a graduate of the 2016-2018 Florida Epidemic Intelligence Service Fellow Class, and served in Orange County, FL. During her time as a Florida EIS Fellow, she was the lead investigator of outbreak investigations; most notably an outbreak of Verona Integron-Encoded Metallo-Beta-Lactamase-Producing Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Danielle holds a Masters of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology and Global Communicable Diseases from the University of South Florida.
