I completed medical school training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN followed by internal medicine residency and chief residency at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, MA. I completed infectious diseases (ID) fellowship at MGH and Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH). I am currently on faculty at MGH and am the Program Director for the combined MGH & BWH ID fellowship and am an active member of the MGH ID Division Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee. I founded the MGH multidisciplinary Drug Use Endocarditis Treatment (DUET) Team which brings together faculty from ID, addiction medicine, cardiology and cardiac surgery to care for patients with endocarditis related to underlying substance use disorders.
