Tara Vijayan, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Medicine, the Medical Director of Adult Antimicrobial Stewardship and an Associate Director of the Scientific Foundations of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM), University of California, Los Angeles. In addition, she serves as a section editor for the State-of-the-Art Review section in Clinical Infectious Diseases and is an at large member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) Medical Education Executive Committee. She has earned 4 Golden Apples for her teaching and recently was invited to give the Gold Humanism Grand Rounds and keynote at DGSOM. Her research and clinical passions include equity, storytelling, medical education and all things infectious diseases.
