Braulio Couto has Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from UFMG (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais). He received MSc in Computer Science from UFMG in 1998, Specialization in Statistics in 1995 and a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering in 1990. Nowadays he is doing a post-doctorate in Bioinformatics at UFMG, and his main interests are nosocomial infections and the study of potential drug target proteins for developing antibiotics.
