Rattanaporn Mahatanan, MD, MPH is currently an infectious disease fellow at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. She was born in Thailand and graduated from the Faculty of Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University in Thailand in 2006. After graduated from medical school, she worked in rural Thailand as a general practitioner before moving to the United States in 2010 to start her internal medicine residency training at Metrowest Medical Center in Massachusetts. After residency training, she worked as a hospitalist in a critical access hospital in rural Maine and was involved in multiple quality improvement projects at Redington-Fairview General Hospital. She also earned an MPH degree from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Epidemiology while being a full-time hospitalist. Currently, she is a second-year infectious disease fellow and a first-year leadership and preventive medicine resident at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Her interests include infection prevention control and antibiotic stewardship.
