• describe a framework and key targets for implementing outpatient antibiotic stewardship
• develop approaches to collect, analyze, and display data to facilitate tracking and reporting of outpatient antibiotic use
• identify currently available antibiotic prescribing quality measures that can be leveraged by a health care system or individual providers to assess progress
• recommend and implement interventions to improve antibiotic prescribing, such as prescriber audit and feedback, behavioral modification strategies, and communication training
