Dr. Thakur "Paul" D. Persaud graduated as a physician from Superior Institute of Medical Sciences, Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. He practiced in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecoology for many years. Dr. Persaud subsequently attended Columbia University, Mailman School of Public Health where he earned an MPH in Population Health, and a PhD in Public Health Epidemiology from Walden University.
Currently, Dr. Persaud works for the City of Paterson and is in charge of the City'sp Division of Health where he holds the dual title of Director / Health Officer and Program Manager, Disease Prevention and Control.
Dr Paul Persaud has a total of more than thirty five years in the medical field that encompases both clinical medical practice and public health.
