Dr. Joowhan Sung is a hospitalist at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, Maryland. As a native of Seoul, he obtained his M.D. degree at Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea, and completed internal medicine residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/ Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. He has been working as a hospitalist at MedStar Health system in the metropolitan Washington D.C. area since 2017, and is leading a COVID-19 inpatient cohort study at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital. He is completing MSc degree in Epidemiolgy at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
