Axel Vazquez Deida, PharmD is an infectious diseases pharmacist currently pursuing a Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2018. He then completed his postgraduate pharmacy practice residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida and his infectious diseases pharmacy residency at Denver Health Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. In addition, he completed an antimicrobial stewardship certificate program with the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists in 2020. His current research has been focused on outpatient antimicrobial stewardship services in underserved communities.
