I'm a second year fellow at UR. I am from Chile and I studied medicine in Cuba.
I am currently enrolled in a MPH and collaborating with the blog scinces speak of IDSA.
I feel the discipline of Infectious diseases has been at the forefront of the advancement of medicine in the last century, improving quality of life and increasing lifespan as no other area of medicine has done before. Now we have a new challenge to come, with all the environmental changes and how this is enabling the appereance of new emergent infections. We have a duty educating eople in this regard. This is getting very exiting!
