Dr. Frost is a general academic pediatrician and physician scientist at Denver Health and the University of Colorado School of Medicine whose research focuses on the diagnosis and management of common outpatient infections. Dr. Frost is the Director the Sexually Transmitted Infections Strategic Initiative, Co-Director of the Ambulatory Care Services COVID-19 Task Force, and a member of the antimicrobial stewardship committee at Denver Health. She currently directs two research teams including a translational pediatric acute otitis media and conjunctivitis team and a team focused on health systems research pertaining to sexually transmitted infections. She has a special interest in the design and implementation of rapid diagnostic tests to improve patient care. Her research is funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Gerber Foundation, and the Denver Health Pilot Program. Dr. Frost completed her pediatric residency at the University of Colorado in 2013, after which she served as a physician scientist and the Chair of Pediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship at Marshfield Clinic Health System for 4 years before returning to Denver Health in 2017. She is a past recipient of the Infectious Disease Society of America's Kass Young Investigator Award, the Marshfield Clinic Shining Star Award, the American Academy of Pediatric Chapter Quality Network Recognition of Quality Award, and the Denver Health Academic Excellence Award.
