Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Ambulatory/Infectious Diseases
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
Dr. Monica Mahoney earned her PharmD from MCPHS University - Boston and completed PGY1 and PGY2-ID training at Tufts Medical Center. She is board certified in pharmacotherapy and infectious diseases. For almost 10 years, she practiced as the clinical coordinator of infectious diseases at BIDMC, before taking on a new position in the outpatient ID and OPAT clinics. Dr. Mahoney is a proud member of several infectious diseases and pharmacy organizations including ACCP, ASHP, IDSA, SHEA, and SIDP. She is on the editorial advisory boards for Annals of Pharmacotherapy, Contagion Live, and OFID. She took on - and possibly won? - the Top Infectious Diseases Internet Resources draft against Dr. Paul Sax on his podcast. She prides herself on witty (possibly cheesy) presentation titles and is diving into the world of infographics. Follow her on twitter: @mmPharmD.
