Dr. Suda received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Drake University and a Master’s in epidemiology at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Suda’s post-doctoral training includes a residency, a pharmacokinetics fellowship and an infectious diseases and outcomes research fellowship. Dr. Suda is currently Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and a Research Health Scientist and Associate Director of Clinical Therapeutics with the VA Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion.
As an infectious disease pharmacist with additional training in health outcomes and epidemiology, Dr. Suda’s research interests include antimicrobial pharmacoepidemiology and effectiveness of antibiotic stewardship strategies. Dr. Suda has received funding from federal and non-federal sources and has written more than 130 articles in the professional literature and received awards for teaching and research.
