Assistant Professor of Medicine; Medical Director of Infection Prevention UTSouthwestern Health System
UT Southwestern Medical Center
Dr. Trivedi is currently the Medical Director of Infection Prevention for the UT Southwestern Health system in Dallas, Texas where she played a vital role in the COVID-19 pandemic response across all ambulatory and hospital settings in the system. She obtained her medical degree from UMDNJ, now Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ, completed an Internal medicine residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts and then an Infectious disease fellowship at Boston University Medical Center where she began developing an interest in healthcare epidemiology. After completing fellowship, she joined the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as a Clinical associate, where she developed clinical expertise in the management of LVAD infections. In 2015, she expanded into the role of Hospital epidemiologist for Suburban Hospital, a community hospital that is part of the Johns Hopkins Medicine network, whereby she developed an antibiotic stewardship program. Since joining UT Southwestern in 2017, she has furthered her interest in infection prevention and pandemic preparedness in limited or constrained resource settings such as in a mega-shelter or after a natural disaster. In her spare time when she's not being a doctor, she is a single mom to two beautiful girls, loves to cook and travel (locally for now!). You can follow her on Twitter @drjulietmd.
