Dr. Julie Kim is the Department Lead for Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Palo Alto Medical Foundation and is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine. She has been a hospitalist since completion of her residency and Chief Residency at Stanford Children's Hospital in 2003. She cares for newborns in the well newborn and intermediate care nurseries at Stanford Children's in addition to providing general pediatric ward care.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Kim has several leadership roles including Medical Staff President at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford (LPCHS) and participates in several LPCHS committees including Credentialing Committee, Professional Practice Evaluation Committee, and Perinatal Care Committee. Her interests include neonatal medicine, care of late preterm infants, and teaching communication skills. Dr. Kim has co-lead two 2018 PHM workshops on early-onset neonatal sepsis and neonatal conundrums.
