Vanessa Durand is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine-Georgia Campus. She completed her pediatric residency training at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. As a National Health Corp Scholar, she joined Westside Family Healthcare where she led initiatives on quality improvement. She returned to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in 2014 as a Pediatric Hospitalist and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Drexel University College of Medicine. Her scholarly interest focuses on implicit bias in medicine, a topic on which she has presented workshops nationally at Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS), Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM), and at Grand Rounds locally. Her other interests include patient safety and quality improvement focused on health equity and patient flow.
