Sunday, October 4, 2020
11:00 AM – 11:25 AM CDT
Precision medicine holds great promise in pediatric asthma. By combining the clinical features of a child’s asthma with that of the underlying pathobiology using non-invasive biomarkers, management can be optimized. This lecture will focus on type-2 inflammation, the predominant endotype of childhood asthma, non-invasive biomarkers including blood eosinophils and exhaled nitric oxide, emerging “omics” technologies, and the development of biologic agents that target eosinophils in children with severe asthma.
