As the only freestanding pediatric healthcare system in Georgia, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is the trusted leader in caring for kids. Children's has more than 60 pediatric specialties and programs, the top healthcare professionals in the nation and is a leader in research and technology. Children’s is one of the largest pediatric clinical care providers in the country, managing more than one million patient visits annually at three hospitals, Marcus Autism Center, the Center for Advanced Pediatrics and 19 neighborhood locations. We collaborate with Emory University School of Medicine, Georgia Institute of Technology and other academic institutions to advance pediatric medicine and pursue answers to perplexing medical conditions. In 2019, 3,947 patients at Children’s enrolled in a clinical research study, and of those, 764 enrolled into a clinical trial. Throughout the year, Children’s provided $43.9 million for lifesaving research in pediatric diseases and tracked more than 12,000 patient visits in which research was conducted to make kids better today and healthier tomorrow.
