This SLA Presidential Conversation provides a forum for contributors to the collaborative book project Language & Social Justice in Practice to discuss approaches to intersections between language and social justice, in conversation with SLA President Asif Agha and the audience. Editors Avineri, Graham, Johnson, Riner, and Rosa describe their endeavors to embody principles of social justice in the book's publication process. Authors from the book’s sections (activism, education, health, policy, race & racism) dialogue with the editors, one another, SLA president, and the audience about modes by which linguistic anthropology can contribute to exploring relationships between language and social justice.
