This business meeting welcomes all members and people with interest in our organization and activities. Please join us to acknowledge the winners of our section's prizes-- the Theodor C. Bestor Prize for Outstanding Graduate Paper, the David Plath Media Award, and the Francis L.K. Hsu Book Prize. We will also review the past year's activities and budget, and plan for 2019. This year we are delighted to welcome a special speaker, Historian Jeffrey Wasserstrom of UC Irvine, who will talk on Anthropology's place in Asian Studies, as well as share his experience in publishing in the field of Asian Studies.
