The NGOs and Nonprofits Interest Group of the AAA will meet to highlight recent developments in research on NGOs and Nonprofits, discuss promising directions for upcoming work, address leadership and support roles for the interest group, begin planning for our biennial conference, and further develop professional networking possibilities. The new board and conveners for 2018-2019 will introduce themselves to attendees and hold discussions on filling remaining volunteer positions. In an open discussion format, attendees will be invited to engage with the new leadership regarding future developments in the interest group and the anthropology of NGOs and nonprofits.
