Joy Rucker, National Harm Reduction Consultant, Founder of the Texas Harm Reduction Alliance.
Joy has served people with HIV, substance use, mental health and homelessness issues for over 30 years.
Joy has served on a number of HIV, Substance Use, Homelessness continum of care boards through out her career.
Joy is from a small New England fishing town and started the first HIV Substance Users's support group and went on to provide the first outreach efforts in Boston for HIV prevention to people who inject drugs.
Joy has developed Housing First programs in Hawaii and in the Bay Area.
Joy became a Harm Reduction Trainer for the National Harm Coaliton over 25 yrs ago.
Joy is one of the founding members of the Black Harm Reduction Network.
